About Me

Hello and welcome to Buttercup Lactation! I’m Jocelyn, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for supporting families on their feeding journey.

As a mother of four children, I understand the beautiful moments and challenges that come with nurturing your baby. I believe in the power of breastfeeding to create a strong bond between parent and baby while providing the best possible start in life. My personal experience has fueled my commitment to helping parents like you navigate the world of breastfeeding with confidence and joy.

My mission is to create a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for you and your baby. I believe that each feeding journey is unique, and I am here to listen, understand, and address your specific concerns and goals.

I specialize in helping with latching and positioning problems, establishing milk supply, and guiding families through the process of optimal bottle feeding. My expertise also extends to working with babies who have tongue ties (ankyloglossia), both pre and post-release. I provide evidence-based guidance and practical strategies to overcome any hurdles you may encounter.

At Buttercup Lactation, I take a holistic approach to care, understanding that breastfeeding is not only a physical connection but also an emotional one. My aim is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to foster a strong bond with your little one while creating a positive and fulfilling breastfeeding experience.

Whether you’re a first-time parent or a seasoned pro, I am here to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to discuss your concerns and ask questions. Together, we will navigate the early weeks, build a strong foundation, and ensure that you and your baby thrive on this beautiful journey.

My approach is practical and collaborative, ensuring that every family leaves our session with actionable suggestions and a confident plan tailored to their unique circumstances.

Thank you for considering Buttercup Lactation as your trusted partner in lactation support. I look forward to working with you and being a part of your parenting journey.

Warmest regards,

Jocelyn Shuler, BSN, IBCLC
